Job: A Tough Assignment

Job

“The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

These were the words of Job, a man who did his very best to live blamelessly before God. Satan thinks that this is too good to be true and in a turn of events, Job finds himself dealing with tragedy after tragedy until he is sitting in ashes as he suffers and writhes in his own skin. Yet, he insists on blessing the name of the Lord. His wife tells him to curse God and die. His friends who came to comfort him end up falsely accusing him and condemning him.

He feels alone. He wants to die. But that’s not the end.
