Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia

This child is living in a dirty, brown lake. His family is too poor to own land, so they live in a boat instead, though not in one of those nice tourist boats pictured. This shot was taken from my iPhone, edited with Photoshop.

I wanted to hug and kiss the floor when I got off the plane back in America.

Why am I so excessively blessed when the reality for others is that they live in physical and spiritual poverty? I don’t know why God chose to apportion this particular lot for me, but what I do know is that God gave me everything that I have and that my life is His. How else can I respond but to surrender more corners of my own heart while being a brighter light that brings others to Him?
